This learning series consists of three courses to prepare participants to succeed in restaurants and foodservice. The course will provide participants with the food and beverage skills and competencies necessary for the very high demand positions of fast food and counter workers, cooks and food prep, and waiters and waitresses. Participants also have the opportunity to take the Food Handlers Certificate as part of this certificate program.
Course one is an overview of operations and service for various food service segments. Course two explores food and operations safety, and the third course concentrates on basic culinary and menu knowledge. Participants earn a badge for each course completion and a certificate for completion of all three courses.
The courses in this certificate program are all online, asynchronous, allowing participants to fit the coursework around their schedules.
